Sevilla’s Alex Pozo has his FIFA 20 Ultimate Team revealed

Sevilla winger Alex Pozo has had his FIFA 20 Ultimate Team revealed, and it’s a pretty impressive collection of cards, but is there room for any of his Spanish compatriots?

At just 21 years old, Alejandro ”Alex” Pozo is one of Spain’s most exciting young wingers. Despite only three appearances for Sevilla’s senior side, he has enjoyed successful loan spells at both Granada and Mallorca, and has made 19 appearances for Spain’s youth sides.

It seems the young winger is spending his time in lockdown the same way as most of us – with an abundance of video games. During the FUT Champions Weekend League for April 17-19, he came up against one FIFA fan who’s subsequently shared the impressive XI Pozo boasts.

One FIFA Redditor shared Pozo’s XI on April 18 after coming up against the young winger online. While his side is not as strong as some we’ve seen – like Juan Bernat’s 93 OVR rated outfit – it’s still pretty ridiculous.

Goalkeeper ICON Edwin van der Sar is protected by an insane backline made up of Sergio Ramos, Rio Ferdinand, Gianluca Zambrotta, and the SBC variant of MLS defender Ike Opara.

The midfield is where we begin to see some stranger picks, however. Mohamed Salah at CAM is understandable, but Hernan Crespo at CM seems bizarre, especially when legendary England midfielder Steven Gerrard is playing ST.

Alex Pozo’s UT in full.

The front three is completed with Pozo’s own 99 rated card at LW and Lionel Messi at RW, but a number of fans were confused by the midfield and striker choices.

We also got a unique look at Pozo’s own 99 OVR card, with the Redditor securing a snap after Pozo scored against him. With defending the only statistic to fall below 96, it’s no surprise that Pozo managed to score.

There’s no room in the XI for any fellow Sevilla teammates, but Ramos, Messi and de Jong make up the LaLiga Santander players in the side. Pozo’s full team is detailed below:

  • GK: Edwin van der Sar – 89
  • RB: Sergio Ramos – 93
  • CB: Rio Ferdinand – 90
  • CB: Ike Opara – 88
  • LB: Gianluca Zambrotta – 87
  • CM: Hernan Crespo – 87
  • CAM: Mohamed Salah – 92
  • CM: Frenkie De Jong – 94
  • LW: Alex Pozo – 99
  • ST: Steven Gerrard – 89
  • RW: Lionel Messi – 94

There’s a couple of areas that could be improved, namely Crespo in midfield, Gerrard up-top, and Zambrotta at LB. Regardless, it’s a pretty outstanding XI, spearheaded by Pozo’s own incredible card.
