Social media users are in awe after a video showcasing the proper way to compress sleeping bags after use goes viral on Twitter.

For many outdoor lovers or festival goers, the sleeping bag is essential item for day-to-day life as well as camping trips, hiking, and more. And while the item can be a handy tool to have when exploring, the pack-up process is often the source of great frustration.

Many outdoor TikTokers and enthusiasts often post videos of the best way to pack up sleeping bags and fit them back into their cover in the most compact way possible.

However, social media users are freaking out after a new video showcasing a “cheat” for packing away sleeping bags has gone viral on Twitter.

Twitter account Science Girl, which has over 1.6 million followers on the platform, shared a video explaining “how sleeping bags are compressed for packing.”

The clip, which has been viewed over five million times since being posted on Twitter, has garnered a massive response from users all across the globe.

One Twitter user commented on the video, “Now I understand why I can never repack them after opening.”

Another user added, “No wonder! I must have 8 sacks for sleeping bags that I can’t use because I don’t have a backpack stuffing machine. I buy third-party stuff sacks to squeeze them into my pack.  It would be better if they came with stuff sacks.”

On the flip side, a third questioned “Why don’t they sell that machine with the bag?”

Given just how much of a challenge packing away a sleeping bag can be at the best of times, time will tell if this hack encourages others to invest in getting their bags properly sealed before and after each use.
