Call of Duty fans are shouting from the rooftops following a new leak that indicates the classic Rebirth Island map will be returning to the franchise.

Call of Duty has some of the most dedicated fans across the whole video game industry. With multiple games and a competitive multiplayer community, fans are always providing feedback to the devs to ensure each and every CoD title is as good as it can be.

Given the long history of the CoD franchise, a great way for the devs to reinvigorate excitement in their fans is to reintroduce old maps to new titles, with these classic locations often reworked or updated for maximum excitement.

The most recent classic map to be teased as entering the CoD world once again is the beloved Rebirth Island. In a new Reddit thread, one player uploaded a leaked image of the map that was found within the code of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.

This leak indicates that Rebirth Island will arrive at some point throughout 2024, most likely during the upcoming season 4.

While the exact release of Rebirth Island is unknown, one thing is for certain. Fans are excited about the chance to once again return to the map.

In the same Reddit thread that revealed the leaked image, players were flocking to the comments to share their thoughts on the news.

One CoD player wrote, “F**k yes. It looks exactly the same.”

Another added, “This is gonna be nice. Like visiting your childhood house again. It’s much smaller than I remember yup you’re all grown up now buddy. I hope they have vault stuff and easter eggs from the get-go. Did you guys have favorite landing spots?”

The same CoD fan added, “we did the vaults sooooo many times. Did whatever was needed and headed to a vault, sometimes all of them. Tight battles in the prison area to get that phone to ring and to get those numbers”.

Time will tell when Rebirth Island does make its way to MW3 and Warzone. However, we’ll be sure to keep you updated on when you’ll be able to dive back into this cult classic location.
