Sung Jinwoo in Solo Leveling

As Solo Leveling continues onward in Sung Jinwoo’s story, fans are anticipating more and more of the manwha’s scenes, and now another anime giant has joined the team to do justice to the material.

We’re not done on the first season of Solo Leveling yet, but fans are pretty sure the anime show has a future. The reveal of a Solo Leveling documentary from Crunchyroll suggests there’s been a lot of investment in the story, though that’s to be expected when you’re dealing with one of the biggest manwha ever.

Solo Leveling is produced by A-1 Pictures, and the credits include some of the best in the medium, with creatives from Attack on Titan, Sailor Moon, and many more contributing to the show. Recently, we had confirmation of a legend within anime joining the roster – someone known for his talents in fight scenes.

Solo Leveling adds Naruto animator Tetsuya Takeuchi

A-1 Pictures confirmed that Tetsuya Takeuchi was working on something for Solo Leveling recently. A post on X/Twitter, simply states the animation producer was “cheered up” by what Takeuchi created.

Having worked on The End of Evangelion, Sword Art Online, Ghost in the Shell, and much more, Takeuchi is a reliable artist who’s become known for helping creating dazzling, captivating sequences. He’s the exact kind of talent you’d hope would be involved in something as popular as Solo Leveling, who not only has the expertise to bring a vision to life, but understands the expectation involved.

What he actually made remains to be seen – we mightn’t even see it this season. But rest assured, it’s probably big and menacing. Perhaps one of the demons Sung has to face in the high-rise after defeated Cerberus? That’d be my bet, but there are so many cool battles and moments that Takeuchi would be perfect for.

Suddenly, Solo Leveling Episode 8 just got even more exciting – A-1 Pictures keeps finding new ways to build intrigue! If you’re up to date but what another thrill-ride while we wait, our list of the best anime like Solo Leveling will keep you entertained.
