League of Legends is another live service game that is known for putting out a lot of expensive cosmetics over the years. One player has found a way to acquire as many League skins for as cheap as possible.

League of Legends has released thousands of skins since launching in 2013. In that time, Riot Games has pushed the envelope in terms of skin price and what exactly purchasing the cosmetic entails.

Skins on the base tier just simply change the color or clothes of champions while those in the higher tiers, and limited edition skins, change what their abilities look like, their dances, and animations.

With the amount of skins available, and their high price, many players are content with just having a few for their favorite champions. Now, thanks to a post on Reddit, League players have a roadmap for getting every skin under the sun on the cheap.

League of Legends champion skins for under $2,300

According to a post by koelol on Reddit, League players can get every skin in League for under $2,300 using their method.

The cheapest way is to make an account in countries with cheap currency, like the Philippines and Turkey, and purchase Riot Point bundles on that account. Players then use that RP to unlock the expensive skins, while using skin shards, which are also purchasable using real currency, to unlock all of the cheaper skins.

The method also involves using Mythic Essence from events and the timing of skin sales to get the most bang for your buck.

Players can then pay to transfer their account to their home region, which costs about $20.

The more complicated numbers, including how to disenchant shards and how to efficiently get the cheaper skins are included in a Google Doc.

Players in the thread seemed shocked at the overall price, noting that for some hobbies that’s just the price to get started. However, one player noted that if the local pricing for other countries is abused widely, Riot could crack down.

“If you do region swap you are actively harming the Turkey player base as Riot will eventually just remove regional pricing for Turkey and other similar countries because of abuse like this. Valve recently did this because of region hopping so I’d expect the same here,” they warned.
