Scarlet Monastery is one of the most iconic locations in all of World of Warcraft, and one team has partially conquered its halls early in Season of Discovery.

Season of Discovery changed a lot of the Vanilla WoW formula, while still maintaining the same feeling in its mechanics. Players have access to new powers via the Rune Engraving system, with classes now vastly stronger and able to operate in new roles.

The game also features a staggered leveling system that has seen the community capped at Level 25 during the first phase of the game. This will soon advance to 40 when the game enters Phase Two on February 8.

As a result of this system, many dungeons are off-limits at the moment, but one intrepid team has conquered an iconic setting far earlier than intended.

In a post on Reddit, one player shared a screenshot of their group after they defeated Arcanist Doan, the final boss of the Scarlet Library. All of this comes after they had already cleared the entirety of Scarlet Graveyard.

At Level 25, they are one level below the recommended 26-36 bracket and an astounding four levels below the 29-39 recommendation for Scarlett Library. Of course, without the additional powers granted by Season of Discovery, this would likely be impossible, but it remains an awe-inspiring achievement despite that.

Many were quick to congratulate the group, with one saying: “Bruh, if they have some additional content or raid for Armory and/or Cathedral, I’ll be on my computer 16 hours a day lmao. Nice work on the raid!”

Another added: “Cool! Didn’t even know more than five people could enter an SM dungeon at a time!”

With Phase Two set to launch on February 8, it won’t be long before Scarlet Monastery becomes a central piece of content in Season of Discovery. Blizzard is yet to announce if the instance will be changed in any way, but there has now been full confirmation of the 10-man raid adaptation of Gnomeregan, which will act as the “endgame” activity for the phase.
