How to get VCT team skins in Valorant? Capsules, Player Cards, more

Riot Games has finally released the long-anticipated VCT team Capsules to the Valorant item shop – here is how fans can purchase a Classic skin for their favorite esports team.

Riot Games has been teasing esports team-specific cosmetics for years now. The developer first started offering players cosmetics connected to its esports circuits back in 2012 with the winners of the League of Legends World Championship choosing five champions to receive skins.

Teams were also awarded compensation based on the in-game sales of those skins. For Valorant, Riot chose a different path by creating Champions bundles around the Valorant World Championships in 2021.

Half of the Valorant Champions cosmetic bundle’s profit from in-game sales would be split amongst the teams that qualified for the tournament. With the introduction of the international VCT leagues, Riot revealed that it would be adding team-specific skins and cosmetics for each partnered organization in its ecosystem.

These VCT team capsules work the same as the Valorant Champions bundles, with 50% of the profits from each team’s collection going toward the partnered organization throughout the 2024 season.

How to get VCT team skins in the Valorant shop

The process for purchasing the VCT team skins is almost the same as buying regular Valorant skins from the in-game store.

To get the VCT team capsules players need to do the following:

  • Navigate to the Esports Hub tab, located at the top of the screen.
  • Once in the Esports section of the client, navigate to the Teams section.
  • Tab over to the team whose capsule you want to purchase and click on them.
  • Preview what you get with the capsule and press buy.

Each VCT team Capsule will feature a Classic and AR Inspect skins with unique firing audio and recolored muzzle flash, a custom Player Card, co-created with each team, and an exclusive Buddy and Spray set.

Capsules for VCT Americas, Pacific, and EMEA launch on February 21, while cosmetics for the teams in VCT China will enter the shop after VCT Masters Madrid in May.

The cosmetics will stay in the esports shop for the entire esports season, and teams who see success in the VCT circuit (for example, the team that wins Masters) will also get their capsule pushed in the Valorant storefront.
