Twitch streamer falls through frozen lake in live-streamed bike accident

A Twitch streamer accidentally live-streamed the moment his snow-capped mountain bike ride ended with him in a frozen lake.

Mountain biking comes with its fair share of risks, especially for those daring to venture off the beaten path in hopes of exploring tracks less known.

Adding snow to the mix also introduces an extra level of difficulty, as navigating the icy cold tends to require some additional skill.

One Twitch streamer has now accidentally demonstrated what can go wrong after livestreaming the moment his bike — and himself included — slipped off course and into a frozen lake.

German Twitch streamer Kevin ‘Papaplatte’ currently boasts over 2 million followers and is known for his Just Chatting streams where he frequently shares his adventures with fans.

His latest content had seen the streamer take on mountain biking in the snow, however, things took a turn for the worse after Papaplatte attempted to navigate a narrow passing beside a frozen lake.

Despite reminding himself repeatedly to take things slow and cross with care, the bike slipped and crashed straight through the frozen water. Papaplatte’s surprised cries could be heard before his camera submerged, filming then only blocks of ice and bubbles.

This isn’t the first time Papaplatte has struggled with the snowy terrain either, a previous clip showed him losing control of his bike while descending the mountain and crashing off the path.

Luckily, the snow offered a soft landing and Papaplatte could be heard laughing after the fall. It doesn’t look like these recent accidents will keep him from continuing the sport anytime soon.
