Life for the Halsteads has now changed for good — but will there be a Season 2 of Netflix’s The Gentlemen? Here’s what we know.

Guy Ritchie has made the mother of all comebacks via Netflix with his new TV show The Gentlemen — which surprisingly doesn’t cross over with his 2019 movie of the same name.

Instead, the series follows aristocratic Eddie, who inherits the family estate and discovers that it’s home to an enormous weed empire — and its proprietors refuse to go anywhere.

Eight gore-filled episodes might not be enough for some fans to savor — so will there be a The Gentlemen Season 2?

Will there be a The Gentlemen Season 2?

There are no confirmed plans for The Gentlemen Season 2 — but that doesn’t mean that the cast isn’t up for it.

Even before the new Netflix series was released, it was announced that Guy Ritchie had another TV show in the works — but this time with Paramount Plus. A spinoff from the world of Ray Donovan, Variety reported that Ritchie was attached to direct and executive produce the project, meaning that his attention could be elsewhere in the meantime.

However, cast enthusiasm is certainly there if the call for Season 2 does materialize. Speaking exclusively to Dexerto, Max Beesley, who plays Henry Collins explained: “The experience was amazing. If it happens again, great, that would be wonderful. But I have absolutely no idea.”

Freddy Halstead actor Daniel Ings agreed: “We’ll see. I just want people to go into this one and enjoy themselves, have a blast. I think that’s what this show does.”

So far, The Gentlemen has a Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer rating of 70%, making the demand for a possible second series clear.

Nate Richard at Collider stated, “While adapting a film into a television show hasn’t always worked out before, The Gentlemen is the perfect example of improving an already perfectly good movie by expanding on it to tell a new, and even better, story.”

Gissane Sophia at Marvellous Geeks Media agreed, “Paired with distinct directorial styles that focus on movements and tight close-ups, viewers are always in for something, including Ritchie’s usual style of unexpected twists, turns, and betrayals that are laced with clever motives.”
