A brand new trailer for Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender and fans are “hyped” for the show to release in February 2024.

Avatar: The Last Airbender fans have been cautiously optimistic about the upcoming live-action Netflix adaptation of the beloved animated series.

After all, the first live-action adaptation was panned by critics and fans alike. This was primarily due to how different the story was but there were critiques of miscast characters and more.

However, a brand new trailer for the Netflix TV series just dropped, and based on the initial reaction from fans, it seems to be a much more promising reimagining of the franchise than the original film.

The likes of Zuko, Sokka, and more getting much more attention, as well as a small tease at Aang entering the Avatar state and his role as the bringing of peace and the one who must face the Fire Nation.

The new trailer offered up fans their best look yet at the new show. With more action, character development, and footage setting the scene for what is shaping up to be a giant first outing for Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Across social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), fans have been praising the new series for being much more in line with the original series.

“Trailer already looks better than the movie. This had my interest, now it has my full attention,” wrote one fan. Another added “Netflix has been killing it with the Live-Action adaptations lately. Looks great.”

Others also said online that the trailer “looks amazing in every possible way” and “looks good already, can’t wait to watch.”

Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender is set to drop on the streaming platform on February 22, 2024.
