MaXXXine actor sues Mia Goth for allegedly kicking him in the face
A24Mia Goth, the lead actress for the upcoming film MaXXXine, is being sued by an extra on the film who accused her of battery.
Horror movies fans have been incredibly excited for the upcoming film MaXXXine, which will be the final installment of the X trilogy.
Following the events of 2022’s X and Pearl, MaXXXine will see the titular character, played by Mia Goth, move to Los Angeles in the early 1980s to follow her dreams of becoming a famous actress after surviving a horrific massacre.
However, it seems like the film had some trouble during production last year as a new law suit has emerged, filed by one of the film’s extras who alleged that Goth deliberately injured him during a running stunt scene.
MaXXXine extra claims Goth kicked him in the face on purpose
In a new obtained law suit, background actor James Hunter alleged that Goth purposely kicked him in the head that resulted in a concussion during filming last April, per Deadline.
Hunter explained that he was hired for three days of work to play the role of “Dead Parishioner” and, during the first night of filming, he was on the ground several hours “covered in fake blood and enduring ants and mosquitoes.”
It was during this scene that Goth had to run over him a few times and, on the fourth take, she nearly stepped on him, which was quickly reported to both second assistant director and Goth herself.
However, the suit claims that, during the fifth take, Goth deliberately kicked Hunter in the head with her shoe and, afterwards, Goth followed him to the bathroom while she “taunted, mocked and belittled” him and “dared [Hunter] to do anything” about the kick.
A24Hunter went on to state that he had to pull over twice during the drive back home and, the following day, the casting agency “informed him that the production did not want him back for the remaining two days.”
Because of this, Hunter has also filed a wrongful termination claim against A24, the movie’s production company, Goth and Ti West, the director of the X trilogy.
Altogether, Hunter is seeking $500,000 in damages as he claims that Goth’s “outrageous conduct” was “calculated to cause injury and severe emotional distress.”
