Hazbin Hotel has the family of Hell almost together as the Season 1 finale reveals where Lilith has been the entire time of her absence.

From the start of the adult animated series, there has been a mystery about where the great Lilith has been. Charlie describes how she was Adam’s first wife who wanted her freedom and soon met Lucifer. They fell in love and were banished to Hell for allowing evil into the world.

While Lucifer was heartbroken not seeing humanity flourish, Lilith found her way as the Queen of Hell and inspiring demons. She crafted Hell into what it is until Heaven saw it as a threat and created the Extermination. But a big part of Hazbin Hotel is the fact that Lilith has disappeared.

Charlie explains she hasn’t seen her mother in years while her father stays away from the business. Hazbin Hotel Season 1 finale will shock you as where Lilith has been has big implications.

Warning: Spoilers ahead!

Where has Lilith been?

Since leaving Charlie and Hell, Lilith has been living in peace and luxury in Heaven.

After Adam is killed and Charlie is able to stop the Extermination with the others, Adam’s head angel flees back to Heaven. The Hazbin Hotel is rebuilt better than ever and it’s revealed that Charlie was right about redemption.

Sir Pentious arrives before the head seraphim and her daughter Emily wearing all white. His sacrifice to save his friends during the battle has earned him a place in Heaven. Lute returns to Heaven but appears on a pristine beach. She approached a woman lounging on a beach chair wearing a hat and sunglasses.

Lute drops Adam’s halo before her and tells the woman he’s dead and their deal is done. With his death, Lute is now the head angel. What captures interest is what Lute says to her. “Your brat is threatening the very foundation of Heaven,” she said.

Brat? The only person she could be referring to is Charlie. Lute then continues by saying that if the woman wants to stay she has to go back to Hell and stop “that b*tch.” The scene soon pans to reveal the woman as Lute calls her Lilith.

Hazbin Hotel Season 1 finale dropped a bombshell that Lilith has been hiding herself away from Hell and Charlie in Heaven. It seems that she made a deal to stay there and live a life of luxury. But with Adam dead and the supposed deal fulfilled, Lilith has to take action. It’s unclear if Lilith has been in Heaven all these years or if the lead seraphim is aware of it.

Throughout the season, it was implied that Heaven has something up their sleeve – and it might have been Lilith. The very queen of Hell wants nothing to do with it and runs to the pearly white gates instead. Is Lilith’s role in the extermination greater than what anyone realized? Hazbin Hotel is confirmed for Season 2, so you’ll have to wait and see.
