A young Tekken fan decided to use the game in their homework assignment — and their adorable essay is melting the fighting game community’s hearts.

Tekken 8 is fresh off the press, earning rave reviews from fighting game players as one of the best entries in the beloved series to date.

With so much buzz around the latest 3D fighter taking over social media, several fans have gone viral after expressing their love for the franchise — including one woman who revealed that her dad named all his kids after Tekken characters.

Now, another Tekken fan is sweeping the net thanks to a school assignment that’s melting hearts across the FGC.

Harada responds to young Tekken fan’s adorable homework

On January 29, a man posted a photo of his daughter’s homework to the Tekken Thailand Facebook fan page. The picture showed a child’s scribbly handwriting in response to a prompt in what seems to be an essay question about her weekend activities.

“Today I played Tekken 8 with my brother and mother and father,” she wrote, with a few adorable misspellings thrown in. “We chose our characters and fight each other. My favorite character is Lili and Reina. They are strong girls and they are very very cute, too!”

Needless to say, the youngster’s adorable essay has earned an enthusiastic response from members of the fighting game community, who instantly tagged Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada in hopes he would see the post.

“The ‘they are strong girls and very very cute’ melts my heart,” one fan commented.

“Please don’t throw dad off a cliff, at least?” another joked, referencing the time-honored Mishima tradition of throwing family members off dangerous precipices.

“Raised the right way,” another said.

Harada did end up seeing the post, and wrote his response in a quote retweet: “Wow, lovely!”

This is just the latest viral interaction with fans Harada has had, as he recently reacted to players wanting Final Fantasy’s Tifa Lockheart in the series as potential DLC character.
