To celebrate the 30th anniversary of DOOM, Husqvarna is adding the iconic FPS to its Automower NERA line of robotic lawnmowers.

Since its initial release in 1993, DOOM has maintained its position as one of the most popular and iconic FPS games to ever hit shelves.

It’s seen a handful of sequels in the last 30 years, but people are still finding the wildest things to run the original title on to this day.

Husqvarna is set to release DOOM on its line of robot lawn mowers soon so you can ‘mow down demons.’

Husqvarna set to release DOOM on lawn mowers

Announced on February 23, 2024, Husqvarna is set to provide the ability to play DOOM on their Automower NERA line of robotic lawnmowers from April 9 until September 9, 2024.

They revealed the news in the form of a YouTube trailer and a blog post on its site, making it clear that it’s a partnership between the lawn care company and DOOM.

“When the first-person shooter game DOOM was released in 1993, it changed the gaming landscape forever. The intense atmosphere, 3D realism (for the time), the growls from demons approaching around the corner and the pulse-pounding experience made DOOM a cultural phenomenon.

The game’s legacy remains undiminished. And now, for the first time in history, it’s possible to mow down demons on your own Husqvarna robotic lawn mower.”
