Starfield has opened up plenty of discussions since its launch, with the latest centering on where it ranks in Bethesda’s portfolio of titles.

Since its launch last month, Starfield has been a hot topic of discussion amongst its player base. It’s for good reason, as Bethesda’s first IP in twenty-five years has offered plenty to debate while players explore the darkest corners of space.

The latest discussion comes courtesy of where it stands in Bethesda’s portfolio of titles, which has grown into one of gaming’s most iconic publishers and developers since it opened its doors in 1986.

Players debate Starfield’s place in Bethesda’s title of games

The discussions originated in Starfield’s official Reddit by user bogeyj. Quite simply, bogeyj asks if Starfield is in the player base’s top three Bethesda games, opening up the floodgates of conversation.

One user commented, “It has potential to be. I love the game but it definitely has room to grow.” This response seems to be the overwhelming consensus on the title, with many users flocking to share similar sentiments.

“It is really good. I wasn’t impressed with the characters at first, but after going through a quest just now with Sarah regarding her past… they have really grown on me,” replies another player.

One of the best responses comes from wyanaut69 who simply replies “I think it’s the best skeleton they’ve ever created, I’ll say that.”

Despite much of the negative discourse Starfield has brought up, with recent comparisons to Cyberpunk 2077, it seems like the core of space exploration, romance options, and ship customization are a good starting point.

Starfield is a title that Bethesda plans to support for the next five years. With new mods being worked on every day, space will be far from the final frontier of human imagination as new ways to play surface.

Our review of Starfield echoed similar sentiments, as we found it a compelling journey, albeit with a rather lackluster story that kept the game from true greatness.
