WWE Royal Rumble 2024 results – Roman Reigns and Logan Paul defend titles and two rumble matches

The road to Wrestlemania XL will officially get underway on Saturday, January 28th as WWE presents the 2024 edition of the Royal Rumble.

Emanating from Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, it’s set to be an intriguing night of action which could answer some big questions ahead of Wrestlemania 40.

Roman Reigns will without doubt go into Philadelphia as the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion but it’s still not clear who he will be facing in the main event of night two.

For months, a rematch with Cody Rhodes after the shock defeat for the ‘American Nightmare’ at last year’s Mania looked on the cards but that has now been cast into serious doubt thanks to Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

The wrestling legend and A-list actor was recently appointed to the TKO – WWE’s parent company – board of directors and has been heavily hinting he could face Reigns, his cousin, at Mania instead.

That match could be solidified if Johnson makes a shocking return a the premium live event and would leave Rhodes needing to find his own opponent. CM Punk is the obvious choice but the returning rebel seemed to have his sights set on World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, as does Gunther.

Additionally, we will learn who is set to challenge either Rhea Ripley or Iyo Sky at Wrestlemania in a women’s rumble match that could see plenty of surprise returns and maybe even the debut of Jade Cargill.

With only two other matches on the card – Reigns and Logan Paul defending their championships – it’s set to be a swift and riveting show.

There are four confirmed matches for the Royal Rumble premium live event so far. They are:

1. Women’s Royal Rumble match – 30-woman elimination battle royal for title match at Wrestlemania 40. Winner: Bayley
2. Roman Reigns (c) vs LA Knight vs Randy Orton vs AJ Styles – Fatal four-way for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Winner: Roman Reigns
3. Logan Paul (c) vs Kevin Owens – Singles match for the United States Championship. Winner: Logan Paul (via DQ)
4. Men’s Royal Rumble match – 30-man elimination battle royal for title match at Wrestlemania 4. Winner: Cody Rhodes.
