Francis Ngannou’s chilling message leaves Arsenal legend Thierry Henry “scared”
Sky Sports/YouTubeFrancis Ngannou sent a chilling message to Anthony Joshua on Sky Sports that left his friend, and studio guest, Thierry Henry “scared”.
Arsenal legend Henry was working as a TV pundit on his former side’s crushing 6-0 Premier League win over Sheffield United on Monday.
Goals from Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Ben White, as well as an own goal from Jaden Bogle, sealed a resounding win for Arsenal at Bramall Lane.
It meant Mikel Arteta’s side remained within two points of league leaders Liverpool, and a point behind Man City, in third place, with their two title rivals set to face each other at Anfield this Sunday.
Ngannou’s message to Henry
Sky Sports have live coverage of that game, as well as the F1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on Saturday, and the heavyweight fight between Joshua and Ngannou in Saudi Arabia on Friday.
They are dubbing their coverage of the three events “Big Weekend” and, as such, have crossover content going into their shows in the build-up.
So during their coverage of Arsenal’s win last night, Ngannou had pre-recorded a message for Henry and warned Joshua he was “going after him” on Friday night.
“Hey, Titi. I hope you are doing well and I hope Anthony Joshua is not your friend,” Ngannou said down the camera before laughing sinisterly.
“Because I am going after him on Friday night,” he added before finishing with a message in French to Henry who was in the Sky Sports studio for Monday Night Football.
It then cut back to Henry who laughed before saying: “I was scared then. They asked him a question about what he is going to do to Joshua and he said: ‘I will take his soul’.
“Who says that? He is a great guy, though. His story is outstanding, by the way.”
