Viral Willy Wonka event remade in The Sims 4 with “scarily accurate” detail

The viral Willy Wonka-themed event may have only been available for a short period of time, but it sure did leave an impression, continuing to be a hot topic with actors involved even speaking up about their experience.
For the uninitiated, the event promised visitors a journey with “wondrous creations and enchanting surprises,” as seen from its official site.
However, as opposed to starting off in an “Enchanted Garden” with “magical surprises,” visitors were left disappointed with what seemed like a sparse warehouse with actors in cheap costumes and props.

Since then, the whole ordeal has been a trending topic on the internet — and when it comes to something like this, The Sims 4 is one way to recreate it.
After “30 whole minutes,” one Sims 4 player has managed to recreate the Willy Wonka event in the game and subsequently gone viral in their own right.
Showcasing their creation in a post on X, the user wrote, “The §35 Willy Wonka experience has officially opened in SimCity.”
And just like the original event, its Sims 4 counterpart also features props similar to the ones that can be seen in the warehouse. But that’s not all.
The user even went as far as recreating the Oompa Loompa booth, complete with the Oompa Loompa actress with an expression resembling the one taken from one of the photos, along with the props.
Others in the comments praised the user’s skill, saying that this was “on point” and “scarily accurate.” However, seeing this post, one user pointed out that at this rate, this “botched scam” is about to be an entire fandom, which is “hilarious.”
