Pokemon Go players blast “worst grind” that only rewards a single outfit

Pokemon Go players are calling out one of the “worst grinds in any game” for only rewarding them with a single outfit in the end.

Progression in Pokemon Go is known to be a slog at times. On some occasions, players will grind their way through challenges that take hours upon hours to complete.

The rewards for seeing such challenges through to completion aren’t always worth it in the end, either. Just last year, one user hit Level 50 and essentially beat the game – their reward came in the form of the “worst possible IV Mewtwo.”

To the chagrin of the user base, it seems that even the less time-consuming grinds don’t offer anything too worthwhile.

Pokemon Go players slam reward for lengthy Training grind

In a recent Reddit post, a user named IronMarch called out the “Train 1,000 times” challenge as “one of the worst grinds in any game.”

The reason they feel so strongly about the Ace Trainer Medal grind? It requires Pokemon Go players to spend an exorbitant amount of time training for a “single outfit” as a reward. As far as the Redditor’s concerned, such a tedious task is not worth the effort in the least bit.

A quick look through the replies shows that several other POGO fans agree. One person said, “I did this too. I will never change my ace outfit after this torture.”

Someone else argued that the only reason why this grind requires so much effort is because “the gym mechanics it was initially tied to no longer exist.”

Still, other commenters threw out the challenges they think deserve the crown for worst Pokemon Go grinds. “The 200-best buddy badge would like a word with you,” one user chimed in.

Another fan in the thread recalled the notorious 10,000,000 km trade medal from a few years ago.

Clearly, the mobile Pokemon game has a habit of asking much from its players while offering precious little in return.
