Palworld fans plead for brutal Meat Cleaver change

Palworld players have suggested a brutal Meat Cleaver butchering mechanic that they want Pocketpair to add to the game.

Pocketpair offers players so many different awesome and cool Pals to catch and add to your collection. Once caught, these Pals can be put to use, either as devastating weapons to carry around in your party, or as mounts to traverse the map easier.

However, there are so many different Pals, and the developers encourage players to try and catch 10 of each for bonus XP. So, soon players Palboxes’ can get filled up pretty quickly.

Pocketpair introduced the Meat Cleaver to allow people to free up Palbox and party space, and some of the community has had an absolutely “brutal” idea for the butchering mechanic.

Palworld players suggest butchering and production interaction

One player introduced the idea via a Reddit post, which quickly gained traction with the rest of the Palworld community.

The player LordWombat142 posted: “Pals should work faster after seeing their friends get butchered.”

Players jumped at the idea, and proposed mechanics of their own that could work with the butchering/production synergy.

“So what if some of them got traumatized and couldn’t work anymore after witnessing the butchering? What if certain pals tried to flee in terror of the player? That’d be kinda fun,” suggested one fan.

Others were convinced that there was already a similar mechanic in the game and were sure that having the Pal condenser near the sleeping beds was forcing them to work harder.

“I’m convinced my pals receive a working buff from the pal condenser being right next to their sleeping area,” said one player.

However, there were some who had more friendly suggestions, such as inter-pal relationships that could boost productivity. “Dude, imagine if the pals actually made friends with the other pals and had relationship meters and would work faster if they worked with pals they liked. Maybe breeding would be faster with 2 pals who are close,” another player suggested.

Still, if it is easier and quicker farming players want, there are already some workarounds, like one Palworld fan’s ingenious vertical farming method.
