Palworld fans were both delighted and disgusted after discovering yet another dark element to the monster-catching survival game. Discussing the gruesome description of one of the Pals on social media.

Palworld players already know the game has a dark side. Despite looking like a cutesy monster-catching game on the surface, there’s a multitude elements, both weird and macabre, to its gameplay.

From training a Tanzee to pump bullets into its fellow pals, to using fire to farm gold from Black Marketeer NPCs.

Still, despite expecting Palworld to occasionally delve into the morally grey side of monster hunting, each new grisly discovery still comes with a sense of shock. Most recently, fans have uncovered the murderous description attached to the Pal, Hangyu.

“Its gigantic arms can rip apart even iron,” the Pal’s description reads. Then going on to describe a “particularly cruel” punishment for criminals: “They would be strung up in a public square and a Hangyu would tear the skin right from their bones.”

“Have you noticed that when it does work at a workbench it very closely resembles a noose?” One Reddit user asked in the thread discussing the Pal’s lore.

“Wait until you see what happens when you assign him to a hanging trap that has a victim strung up,” another replied.

While another user mentioned Hangyu was the first Pal that made them think: “That’s not very child friendly.”

Other users pointed out that Palworld’s more sinister aspects weren’t unique to the title either, however.
“A nonsignificant amount of Ghost Pokemon just straight steal people’s souls” said one user.

“The entire Litwick/Lampent/Chandelure line is crazy,” another agreed.

Still, despite Ghost Pokemon having their own dark lore, none of it is quite as grim as Hangyu’s.
