An NFL fan has gone viral across the internet after being spotted shirtless at the Kansas City Chiefs’ clash with the Miami Dolphins at the Arrowhead Stadium in -4 degrees Fahrenheit weather.

Super Bowl LVIII is right around the corner, with the NFL playoffs now in full force. The Wildcard Weekend saw reigning champions Kansas City Chiefs take on the Miami Dolphins on January 13.

The game turned out to be the fourth-coldest in NFL history, with temperatures recorded as low as minus-4 degrees Fahrenheit while the Chiefs battled the Dolphins for a spot in the divisional round.

Not only that, wind gusts of up to 27 mph made the wind chill feel like -24 Celsius at points. However, despite the record for the coldest game documented at the Arrowhead Stadium being shattered, and being described as ‘dangerously cold’, that didn’t stop one fan from taking their shirt off.

Whilst Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid was feeling the effects of the sub-zero temperatures, with his mustache quite literally frozen over at one point, cameras panned to the stands showing one Miami Dolphin fan taking on the harsh cold completely topless.

Quickly, they went viral across social media, being praised for their dedication. Although many were more concerned than impressed.

“He will be hospitalized soon,” one wrote on Twitter/X, while others questioned how long it would take for them to feel the brutal effects of the cold. “Bro is getting frostbite,” said one. “Hypothermia in a bit,” another added.

According to some, it would only take a matter of minutes for the consequences such as frostbite and hypothermia to begin. Unfortunately for the fan, his determination to battle the cold wasn’t enough for the Dolphins to progress in the playoffs, falling considerably short in their 7-26 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
