TNT will launch an NBA All-Star game ‘Altcast’ featuring a compelling broadcasting duo of Charles Barkley and Draymond Green, two men who have gotten over their past beef.

NBA legend Charles Barkley and Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green will team up on their very own broadcast for the 2024 All-Star game.

Barkley and Green have had a history of heated back-and-forth exchanges, but, since hashing out their differences, they’ve formed a unique friendship that figures to make for a captivating dynamic in the broadcast booth.

Fixtures of the All-Star game in their respective careers, both will offer player perspectives to viewers for the action-packed event.

TNT salivated at the intrigue Green & Barkley would generate

TNT’s executive vice president Craig Barry said this to The Athletic on the Network’s decision to pair the two NBA talking heads:

“It’s something that we think fans potentially want to see more of so we thought this was an opportunity to sit them down next to each other and essentially watch the game together.

“We thought what could we put together that would be an interesting conversation – and all things led to Draymond and Charles.”

The enigmatic coupling will be enhanced with NBA great Jamal Crawford on the sidelines and Taylor Rooks as mediator. Barkley and Green spend time in post game interviews and panel debates on TNT’s Inside the NBA taking jabs at one another. But, at one time, it wasn’t so friendly.

Barkley lit a fuse under the quick-triggered Green starting in the 2017-18 season, when he said he wanted to punch Green in the face four times on national television.

Green fired back at Barkley after those comments saying, “if you’re not gonna punch me in my face when you see me then shut up.”

Barkley extended the feud in 2020 by labeling the Warriors star a “triple single” performer for his low-scoring, fringe triple-double outings.

Green, who had won three championships by then, clapped back at the Hall of Fame power forward for never winning a ring in his career. Green even fished up an old quote from Barkley professing himself as not being a role model at one point in their intense beef.

Now, the two power forwards with more in common than they both liked to have admitted at one time, will call the All-Star game in Indiana.
