Last week on February 5, credible reports that Starfield may be coming to PlayStation 5 broke the internet. Following that, the floodgates opened with inside sources claiming that multiple Xbox first-party exclusives would be going multiplatform including the Halo franchise.

The unconfirmed reports caused a shockwave in the Xbox fan communities with disgruntled players even selling their Series X and S consoles in revolt. Xbox head Phil Spencer called for calm and announced that an explanation was coming though notably, he did not dispel the rumours.

The Official Xbox Podcast is set to air on February 15, 2024. The airtime for the podcast is 12 PM ET / 3 PM ET / 8 PM GMT.

Xbox announced this via X and revealed that this benchmark episode of the Official Xbox Podcast would feature Phil Spencer, Sarah Bond, and Matt Booty as speakers. The primary topic of conversation will be “updates on the Xbox business”.

An earlier post on X from Phil Spencer referred to the reveal of an incoming strategy that he called “the future of Xbox”. This will likely have something to do with these multiplatform rumors that have been dogging the company.
