How to get the Rifle in Sons of the Forest

The rifle can be found inside a cave near the snowy area on the map, close to a big lake. Feel free to check out the image above that’s been marked to help you navigate to this place.

Before you attempt to go inside the cave and retrieve the rifle, you must bring a rebreather, flashlight, and any kind of weapon. 

This is because getting your hands on the rifle inside the cave will require you to dive underwater and fight off enemies. Not to mention, it’s incredibly dark inside.

Assuming you’ve already had those, squeeze through the entrance to enter the cave. Once inside, hug the right wall all the way through until you come across water. There’ll be enemies occasionally sprawling from behind the rocks, so be aware if you need to fight them.

When you finally come across water, swim to the bottom and keep following the right wall. Once you’re back on the surface, you’ll want to keep walking on the right side until you notice a lit-up area.

In that area, you’ll find a dead soldier’s body with the rifle. Simply approach the body and press “E” to obtain the rifle. Now that the rifle is yours, taking on bigger, more threatening enemies should be easier.
