The Finals devs have responded to a “game-breaking” bug that is currently ruining gunfights and drastically altering weapon precision.

The Finals patch 1.5.0 has brought with it a lot of eagerly awaited changes, with the devs finally fixing a number of glaring issues. Abilities like Cloaking Device, Grapple Hook, and Mesh Shield have all been nerfed.

There were also balance changes to Recon Senses, while meta gadgets like the C4, Gas Mine, RPG, and Stun Gun have also been adjusted. While the 1.5.0 patch has been praised by the game’s community, the update has also brought with it one major problem.

Posting on The Finals official Reddit page, the game’s community has highlighted several problems revolving around gunplay. This has led to many encountering frustrating moments where the weapons no longer handle as well as they used to.

The Finals gunplay is feeling a little off due to a particular bug.

Embark released a statement on The Finals Discord, where they confirmed that there is a bug impacting the game’s gunplay. “We’re aware of a bug in Update 1.5.0 that is causing some weapons to apply bullet dispersion/spread/bloom when fired while aiming down sights,” explained the developer. “This is not an intentional balance change and we’ll be looking to fix this ASAP.”

If that wasn’t enough, the devs also have discovered a bug where the Zoom Sensitivity Multiplier for Controller has been doubled. “The original value of 60% may now be 120%,” said Embark. “This can be adjusted in the Settings menu by resetting the Zoom Sensitivity Multiplier back to 60%. We’re already working on these fixes, so stay tuned!”

Until Embark releases a fix, we recommend playing around with your in-game settings or avoiding playing ranked matches until the issue has been fixed.
