How to Play Golf Using the New Fortnite Toys
Reddit u/Picc2gSeason 5 of Fortnite has introduced Toys, a new set of emotes that involve basketballs, beach balls and even a golf ball.
The Golf Toy is perfect for playing around on the new Lazy Links section of the map. However, the golf ball will need to be unlocked before you can play.
Every Toy can only be unlocked through the Season 5 Battle Pass. The golf Toy will require leveling up until you reach Tier 27 of the Battle Pass.
After reaching Tier 27, the Golf Toy emote will be available to equip and can be used like any other emote.
Head over to Lazy Links golf course, which used to be Anarchy Acres, and Fortnite will allow you to drop your Golf Toy anywhere and aim for the holes.
Your character will hit the ball with their pickaxe, but you can control the hit for a full on golfing mini game. The ball will be hit where you were aiming before you pressed the emote button. A putt will occur if your reticle was on the ground, a drive happens when your reticle is aimed up.
If you hit the ball into a hole, your name will pop up in the kill feed with the distance of your shot. Although you can play the full Lazy Links course, since the game will track where your ball landed, keep in mind that a battle royale is still going on around you. Some players won’t care about in-game events.
Golf may be a bigger part of the Playground mode when it comes back, but until then you will have to watch your back while playing a round.
