Epic Games Announce ‘Emergency’ Fortnite Patch Following V.4.5 Update – June 27th

Epic Games announced that they are in the process of creating an ’emergency patch’ following reports of issues with the V.4.5 update.

Released on June 27th, the V.4.5 patch in Fortnite: Battle Royale introduced a number of new additions and items into the game, including Dual Pistols, the highly-anticipated ‘Playground’ mode, and more.

However, multiple users reported various in-game issues after V.4.5 was launched, which led Epic Games to remove the ‘Playground’ mode so that they could add the necessary changes and fixes so that it can run smoothly.

Yet, even after its removal, players still described several problems with in-game stability. Just hours after its release, Epic Games released a statement that they will be working on an ’emergency’ patch to fix any issues players may have.

The announcement came via Twitter, however, no time was provided

As of writing, it is unknown when the ’emergency update’ will be released in Fortnite: Battle Royale, or what exactly will be included.

We will continue to update the story as more information is made available.
