An Apex Legends streamer broke down in tears after receiving a massive host from the second most followed streamer, Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek, and gaining his legion of viewers.

When finishing up a stream, Twitch streamers have the option to send their viewers to another channel with ‘hosting’, or let them disperse to wherever else they’re going. Some streamers may opt to host their friends and people they know before going offline, but others will try and find a smaller channel to support.

After his June 21 stream had concluded, shroud dug through the Apex Legends category on Twitch to find somebody worth handing over a host to. He uncovered KineticNinja after a few scrolls and sent over 18,000 viewers in their direction.

Twitch: shroudShroud is one of the faces of Twitch, regularly attracting thousands of viewers.

The small streamer, who had only been broadcasting to a handful of viewers at the time, was immediately stunned at what was unfolding on his channel. It may have resulted in him losing out on a potential win in Apex Legends but he didn’t care.

“Shroud, dude, I don’t even know what to say right now bro,” started KineticNinja as he tried to find a way to thank the former CS:GO pro. “This is absolutely insane. Thank you wouldn’t cover it! Thank you is not enough, words cannot express what I’m going through right now – holy shit.”

After realizing just how many viewers had made the jump over to his channel from shroud’s, the streamer was moved to tears and still pretty hype about the whole thing.

“Shroud, thank you so much for choosing me,” he continued while wiping away tears. “Out of all the people in this world, you made my Friday night. Shit, you made this entire year’s worth of streaming worth it man. Thank you so fucking much brother.”

Yet, it wasn’t just the popular stream that KineticNinja wanted to thank. As a result of the host, plenty of shroud’s viewers began following and donating bits to his channel. Although he wanted to thank everyone individually, his chat was moving far too fast for him to keep up with.

It isn’t the first time that shroud has used his massive platform to change a small streamers day, but it may be the most emotional example of the power he holds on Twitch.
