As the sixth most followed female Twitch streamer, Alinity should be nothing if not a role model to younger viewers, but she has regularly found herself in controversy. Here, we take a look at how she became such a divisive figure.

At the time of writing, Alinity’s Twitch channel sits at over 1,000,000 followers and 62,000,000 channel views. Despite this, she regularly faces calls from the streaming community to be banned from the platform and has even had celebrities as famous as Ricky Gervais come after her.

It’s completely fair to say that Alinity has found her channel shrouded in controversy on multiple occasions. While some of these appear to have been inadvertent, some were the streamer’s own doing entirely.

A few of these contentious moments have occurred through her interactions with her pets. The streamer has a couple of cats and a dog, but it is the former she has got in trouble for seemingly mistreating.

Clips have emerged of her spitting vodka into one of her cat’s mouths, as well as throwing another of her cats over her head when it was blocking her monitor. The latter event caused a monumental drama, with animal rights group PETA even calling for her removal from Twitch.

Other controversial events include sharing NSFW images of herself and accidentally screening adult content on her Twitch channel.

Despite the backlash and controversies, she has avoided any lengthy bans and remains on Twitch,  regularly streaming to her vast audience. So how did Alinity come to be the streamer she is today?
