Destiny 2 players have rejoiced at seeing fan favorite exotic Anarchy return to its former glory after being somewhat irrelevant for quite some time.

Destiny 2 has a lot of different weapons on offer to players. Where you prefer Hand Cannons, to Submachine Guns to even Trace Rifles, the choice is all yours. Alongside that, you’ve got your choice of exotic weapon, which provides its own unique effect that can drastically alter your gameplay experience.

Of course, the game still has a form of meta, with players optimizing builds that allow for the most optimal of performance. This usually means players will spend a lot of time with a certain weapon, growing fonder of it as they use it more.

This is exactly what happened with the exotic grenade launcher Anarchy, which players are happy to see make a comeback.

Released back in Season of the Forge, the exotic grenade launcher was a rare drop from the Scourge of the Past raid. Attaching arc conductors to a target allowed the grenade launcher to deal damage over time, making it an excellent exotic to pair while DPSing bosses.

Anarchy has since been nerfed several times, but with recent buffs to grenade launchers and new build options, players are happy to see it make a return.

“Return of the king?” one player joked.

“Anarchy double slug time let’s go!” another cheered.

Players had to complete Scourge of the Past in order to grab Anarchy.

Many players have noted that with the level of power creep in Destiny 2, it’s unlikely that the grenade launcher would’ve stayed meta for long.

“Even if Anarchy was never nerfed, it likely wouldn’t be meta. We’ve power crept it by a lot,” one player stated.

“Hopefully it comes back, I miss the Anarchy hotswap meta,” another played hoped.

With the buffs on the way there’s no telling if Anarchy will be the powerhouse that it used to be, but players are certainly glad to see it make a resurgence.
