Rise Nation’s TJHaLy Bets $1000 On Himself Winning CoD Champs With Echo Fox’s Temp

Rise Nation player Thomas “TJHaLy” Haly has placed a wager of $1000 with fellow pro Donovan “Temp” Laroda that he will win the 2018 Call of Duty World League Championship.

During a live stream, the pair argued over predictions on TJHaLy’s personal performance at the CWL Championship, which takes place on August 15 – 19.

Echo Fox player Temp jokingly suggested TJHaLy will have a 0.7 kill/death ratio at the event, which prompted the pair to put their money where their mouth is.

TJ: “I will bet any amount, please bet me any amount”, Temp: “alright, a rack – a rack that you don’t win champs.”

TJHaLy’s Rise Nation team are going into the event as favorites in most people’s predictions, despite losing Stage Two playoffs in the grand final vs Team Kaliber.

Throughout the WWII season, Rise Nation have certainly been the most consistent team, and TJ, Loony and Gunless are the winningest players this season in terms of prize money.

They are tied with Team Kaliber for total championships, with three wins a piece. But many still point to Rise as having the best overall player in Pierce “Gunless” Hillman, and the best Assault Rifle player in Austin “SlasheR” Liddicoat.

Temp though clearly feels like TJHaLy might be the weak link in the Rise Nation roster, despite his stellar performances in the fast, aggressive SMG role.

There are certainly a number of teams that could upset Rise Nation, so Temp has a fair wager on his hands. However given the consistency of Rise, TJHaLy has plenty of reasons to feel confident.

If TJ does win, his wager with Temp would be a drop in ocean compared to his prize winnings overall. As for Temp, he’ll want to ensure he can place as high as possible with his Echo Fox squad, but him not winning champs isn’t part of the wager, it seems.
