Nadeshot “fully supports” ID requirements to play CoD and prison sentences for cheating

Nadeshot is one of the many content creators who have been extremely vocal about the number of cheaters running rampant in ranked.
Activision’s RICOCHET anti-cheat system has been called into question by players based on hundreds of reports of cheaters online – but the company claims it has banned thousands of cheaters already.
However, a new video recently surfaced showing that cheats are now advancing to the point of being undetectable by RICOCHET when it begins investigating an account. Now, Nadeshot has shared his ideas for how to combat these cheaters for good.
Nadeshot proposes hash measures for CoD cheaters
Nadeshot responded to a Twitter/X post made on February 27, which stated that CoD should require ID verification to play the game. While harsh, similar titles have made users add their phone numbers and activate two-factor authentication to play competitively.
“Require an ID to play,” said one user. “Upgrade anti-cheats and if caught once should be criminally charged. Minimum $2,000 or something. Scare most of them away.”
Putting fee charges on cheaters and hackers is something that Nadeshot said he was personally a fan of. But just charging them a fee isn’t enough; he claims that prison sentences should also be handed out to compensate.
“Fully supportive,” said Nadeshot. “Throw a prison sentence in there somewhere for shits and giggles.”
While most of the comments were in favor of criminal charges being brought against cheaters, some had concerns about the potential of players being falsely banned and what that could mean for those affected.
While it is unlikely that criminal charges will be brought against cheaters in the near future, it’s clear that something else needs to be done by Activision to combat these cheaters.
