Two new weapons have been added in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as part of the Season One content launch, and we’ve got everything there is to know about them so far, including images, how they function, and how to unlock them.

The release of Season One in Modern Warfare is the biggest post-release content launch in any Call of Duty game ever, adding several new maps, modes, weapons and much more.

The two new weapons are the RAM-7 assault rifle and Holger-26 light machine gun, the first two guns to be added since the game first released on October 25.

Just as Activision promised several weeks ago, both weapons are available for players to unlock for free simply by leveling up the Battle Pass.

However, those who do want to instantly obtain one or both of these weapons can do so by purchasing their way up the Battle Pass to each gun’s specific Tier.

RAM-7 assault rifle

According to its official description, the Ram-7 is a “fully automated Bullpup Assault Rifle with integrated Picatinny Rails at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock.”

Seeing as previous Bullpup weapons such as the FAMAS and AUG have traditionally been powerful in Call of Duty, the Ram-7 could also prove to be viable in the damage department, especially if it’s fully automatic.

Furthermore, the gun does come outfitted with Picatinny Rails, which will allow players to heavily customize it and tailor it to their play-style.

As for how to unlock it, the weapon is available upon reaching Tier 31 of the Season 1 Battle Pass’ free content stream, meaning you don’t have to purchase the Pass to unlock this weapon.

Holger-26 LMG

Activision officially describe the Holger-26 as “LMG spec of the Holger model rifle, with integrated sight rail and drum magazine for additional ammunition carrying capacity.”

The other four LMGs in Modern Warfare are all pretty strong and viable, especially in large-scale modes like Ground War, so the Holger-26 should follow suit, especially with its extended ammo capacity thanks to the built-in drum mag.

Most players should be able to unlock this weapon pretty quickly, as it’s available at Tier 15 of the free portion of the Battle Pass.

Faster ways of unlocking the two new weapons

While grinding the game and leveling up the Battle Pass is one way of unlocking the two new weapons, there are alternative methods that are faster, albeit not free.

One way is to buy the Battle Pass Bundle, which instantly unlocks the first 20 Tiers, and, with it, the Holger-26 LMG. You can then purchase the next 11 Tiers at $1.50 each to unlock the RAM-7.

There is also, of course, the option to just purchase the whole Battle Pass outright, which would cost about $150 but would unlock all of the Tiers and rewards at once.

FaZe Blaze sets absurd Zombies world record in Black Ops Cold War

Zombies has returned to Call of Duty with Black Ops Cold War’s release and FaZe Clan’s Blaze, in a duo with Ghostzy, has overcome days of crashes to set an insane record of 328 rounds.

Lucas ‘Blaze’ Mosing has a huge footprint on social media, with 3.5 million YouTube subscribers and 1.6 million Twitter followers. Ever since Black Ops Cold War dropped into the public’s hands on November 13, his Twitch numbers have skyrocketed as well.

As Blaze continues to up the ante for Zombies content, the streamer has received over 130,000 new followers on Twitch in the past month. Now, he sits at just above 589,000 Twitch followers, with a large chunk simply intrigued by his efforts to set Zombies world records.

Those record runs have been shut down by game crashes on numerous occasions, but the most recent effort went unimpeded. Grouped with fellow streamer, Ghostzy, the FaZe star managed to surpass the former record attempts and survive well past “Round Zero,” also known as Round 256.

With how many crashes people have been experiencing as they drive their Ray Guns and punch-packed weapons into the later rounds of Zombies matches, hitting 328 rounds is pretty wild. While Blaze explained that they were only a few rounds past the former record holder, the duo was nonetheless ecstatic and their mark will be hard to surpass.

To set this high bar, both players used the “Ring of Fire” Field Upgrade, which creates a small perimeter around the duo, boosting their damage and burning enemies within it. With excellent comms and comfortable management over their Cymbal Monkeys, the two provide an excellent tutorial for new Zombies players.

And, as the record was being reached, Blaze couldn’t help but give in to a wholesome sense of camaraderie. Like best friends in a bath house, the streamer took a moment to cheerfully relax and celebrate the moment with his roommate.

Blaze and Ghostzy met each other randomly – as described by the latter in a TikTok comment – and an immediate Zombies bond was formed. Weeks later, they have overcome the 326-round world record that two other duos were tied at.

Unfortunately, it appears that a Spanish duo of ‘hydrashitoo’ and ‘juanlokoo’ have taken the Zombies leaderboard by storm at the exact same time.

The duo, playing on PC, have set a shocking record of 365 and, thus far, it doesn’t appear that Blaze or Ghostzy are aware of how much higher the bar has been raised.
