The team fielded a roster at the CWL Las Vegas event - marking the return of FC Black to the Call of Duty scene after a four-year absence. That iteration of the lineup ended up with a 21-24-place finish at the event - securing a spot at the CWL Pro League qualifier where they finished 17-20th, missing out on the Pro League.
Now, FC Black will be returning at CWL Fort Worth with a brand-new roster that is stacked with young talent. Like at Vegas, the team will be competing in the amateur bracket, but this time around, they are likely to be one of the favorites.
The new-look team will consist of returning members Obey ‘Asim’ Asim, Thomas ‘GRVTY’ Malin and Timothy ‘Phantomz’ Landis but will be flanked by former FaZe Clan member McArthur ‘Cellium’ Jovial.
They will also be joined by Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr as the rising star joins the squad on loan from eUnited. This will be Simp’s first CWL event appearance after he turned the age necessary to compete, 18, at the beginning of February.
With a roster stacked full of talent, FC Black has been handed the fourth-seed in the open bracket and will likely be one of the favorites to be crowned champions of the $75,000 tournament.
There is $15,000 on offer for the eventual winner, alongside 5,000 pro points - so there is plenty of incentive for a strong showing from the new-look squad.
