Black Ops 6 players have one big issue with one of the game’s newest weapons – the Nunchucks from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event.
Over the years, Call of Duty has followed the likes of Fortnite with an increased number of pop culture crossovers. Some of these have been warmly received, but others haven’t gone down all that well with fans.
Black Ops 6 has carried that on with events for Squid Game, The Terminator, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The TMNT crossover has been criticized for having “despicable” skin prices, but there has also been some joy with the raft of new weapons.
Naturally, these come in the form of the Turtle’s signature melee weapons – Leanadro’s Katanas, Donatello’s Bo Staff, Michaelangelo’s Nunchucks, and Raphael’s Sai.
TMNT Nunchucks are “abysmal” in Black Ops 6
However, when it comes to the Nunchucks, players have voiced concerns about a big issue that they believe is holding it back.
“The delay if you miss the one-hit kill animation is too much,” Redditor SavorAshiq said. “The heavy attack has 0ms wind-up and completes the animation in around 525ms. Making it the most effective heavy attack of all the melee weapons by a long shot. Other than that though they suck with the regular attacks,” another added.
“They just felt so slow and don’t reach very far,” commented another. “Being a 2-hit kill with less range than the bat makes it abysmal in multiplayer,” another chimed in.

Others pointed out that the Nunchucks are the “best” pick when it comes to Zombies, even outdoing the Ice Staff from The Tomb.
Melee weapons have long been a sore subject for CoD players across multiplayer and Warzone, with many still having nightmares about the Kali Sticks.
Another round of speed changes might be considered by the devs, especially as this isn’t the first complaint about two-hit kills.
