World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has shut down any talk of retirement and has outlined a five-fight plan he has in his sights.

The WBC world champion was scheduled to fight WBA, IBF and WBO world champion Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight title next weekend but he was forced to pull out after suffering an injury on Friday.

Fury, 35, suffered a nasty cut above his eye during a sparring session and the fight has now been rearranged for Saturday, May 18.

Fury outlines five fight plan

His decision to postpone the original fight date has provoked plenty of reaction, with theories emerging on social media that the British fighter is contemplating retiring from boxing.

But, taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Fury has shot down any suggestion of retirement and outlined a five fight plan that includes two bouts with Usyk, as well as British rival Anthony Joshua, as well as a rematch with former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

“I keep hearing talk of people saying I should retire or I am going to retire soon. I am not retiring anywhere,” Fury said.

“I have got two fights with Usyk for the undisputed twice. Then I am going to fight AJ at least once, maybe twice if he wants it again after the first battering I am going to give him, and then I am going to fight Ngannou again.”

“That is just the start, so there are five little fights for you to whet your appetite with. I ain’t going nowhere. Nowhere. I am 35-year-old and in the prime of my life.”
