Jake Paul has clapped back at threats from a former boxing champion after they said they’d travel to Puerto Rico and “beat the s*it out of him” ahead of his March 2nd return to the ring.

Since losing to Tommy Fury back in February 2023, Jake Paul has had his eyes firmly set on fighting ‘real’ boxers – fighters who have dedicated their lives to boxing, seemingly regardless of their skills. He’s already beaten Andre August and is scheduled to fight former Golden Gloves champion Ryan Boruland on March 2.

Jake has also gotten into a war of words with Neeraj Goyat, the former WBC Asian champion, who has competed in 24 professional fights, winning 18 and losing four.

Goyat had previously called out Jake for a fight, prompting the YouTuber-turned-boxer to say that he’d travel to India to fight in the future. Though, things have gone up a level again now.

Jake Paul responds as Neeraj Goyat threatens to fight him in Puerto Rico

The Indian fighter posted an Instagram video on February 21, questioning Jake’s claim that he’d go to India and fight him at some point. Neeraj mocked the YouTuber-turned-boxer by putting plenty of missing posters up around towns before issuing a threat that involved him heading to Puerto Rico, where Jake is training.

“Fake Paul, I’m coming to Puerto Rico to beat the s*it out of you. Hide wherever you want, bring whoever you want, I’ll come alone and I’ll beat Jake Paul. Fake Paul, enough talking, now my punches will talk,” he said. “Fake Paul, I’m coming to Puerto Rico.”

The internet star quickly responded to that video, commenting on it a few hours later. “Don’t make that mistake. The only thing missing are your boxing skills,” he said.

Jake’s MVP brand also replied to Neeraj’s post, inviting him to Puerto Rico. “MVP and the people of Puerto Rico would welcome you, irrespective of Jake Paul and you fighting,” they said.

It remains to be seen if the Indian fighter will go through with his promise, but it’s clear he’s doing a fair bit to try and get to fight Jake.
