In Apex Legends, Pathfinder is a robot who is specifically designed to scout and survey the landscape around him. The droid doesn’t know who created him, but he hopes his incredible performances in the Apex Games will alert his designer.
When attempting to scout areas like Kings Canyon, Pathfinder can use a Zipline Gun to create a massive Zipline that both he and his teammates can use to rotate around the map, or move to a difficult-to-reach spot.

Dotted across the map are a number of Balloons, with a yellow rope tying them to the ground. These static items can be used by players as rotation tools, as anyone can jump on the device at the bottom, ride up the rope and then soar out into the air, allowing for quick movement around the map.
However, making it to the bottom of one of these contraptions can be tricky, as sometimes they are found in an open area where players could get picked off by waiting enemies.

Reddit user PathFinDick has found a way to avoid running across open planes to the rotation devices though, by utilizing Pathfinder’s Zipline Gun to take players directly to the top of the device.
Using this technique allows players to make it to the top of the Balloon much quicker than usual, and also gives players the opportunity to use the device from anywhere in the vicinity of the Balloon without the need to jump on at the bottom.
This tip could be the perfect way to escape a tricky scenario, as all of your teammates can make use of the Zipline. There is a catch though, as enemy players can jump on and follow you, so if you find yourself surrounded by opponents when you do this, prepare for a gunfight to follow once you land.
