One Punch Man season 2 finale

One Punch Man Season 3 was expected to be animated by MAPPA, but that’s since confirmed to be untrue – and fans are split.

One Punch Man is a superhero animanga franchise widely loved for its comedy and action. Saitama, the hero of the series, isn’t taken seriously by anyone and always finds himself in chaotic situations because of his overpowered traits.

The first season of the anime was released in 2015, with incredible animation by Madhouse, while the 2019’s second season was taken over by J.C. Staff. The announcement of a third season was made in 2022. Even though the creators never officially took MAPPA’s name, fans assumed it to be the studio taking over the project.

However, a recent update of Season 3 revealed that J.C Staff has been officially confirmed as the animation studio, and fans couldn’t be happier.

One Punch Man Season 3 will see J.C Staff’s involvement

Jujutsu Kaisen (@Go_Lover), which shares regular news updates on X/Twitter, updated recently, “Thankfully, One Punch Man Season 3 isn’t being animated by MAPPA (It’s by J.C.Staff).”

Isn’t it shocking to see fans avoiding MAPPA? It was once a studio that was loved by every enthusiast. However, after JJK Season 2, things aren’t the same anymore. MAPPA was involved in several controversies, and fans learned how the production house reportedly treated its employees.

Now that MAPPA will not animate the upcoming season of One Punch Man, fans seem happy for the animators. However, there are several fans who didn’t like the animation in Season 2, so they want Madhouse to return. One user on X wrote, “NOOOO MADHOUSE WHERE ARE YOU THEY’RE GONNA RUIN IT,” “NOOOO NOT AGAIN PLEASE,” wrote another.

Some fans state that they aren’t familiar with the other works of the studio, but they don’t want any compromise in the animation quality of One Punch Man Season 3. As the upcoming season is expected to feature some of the significant fights, fans want J.C. Staff not to repeat the same mistake they did in the previous season.
