While we await the next entry of One Piece, a fan presents a theory that could reveal how the Egghead Island arc comes to a close – and it somehow involves Disney Pixar’s Monsters Inc.

One Piece rarely uses outside source material to inspire the story directly, similar to Dragon Ball being inspired by Journey to the West. Though series creator Eiichiro Oda has stated that Dragon Ball Z was a big inspiration for the series, fans consider that the case for most anime, as DBZ seemingly paved the way for most modern shows.

As we wait for the next exciting chapter, fans have done what they do best and used the time to wildly speculate what’ll happen next. One fan may have taken things a bit too far with an oddly applicable theory involving a Disney film.

One Piece fan uses Monsters Inc to figure out Egghead Island arc

On the One Piece subreddit, u/quickhelmets brought a wild theory to the table that predicts where the Egghead Island arc is heading. The strange part is that it includes the Disney Pixar film Monsters Inc.

While this theory oddly makes sense, fans in the comment section are a bit more skeptical, believing the wait for each new chapter may be driving people a bit crazy. We’re not agreeing with it, we’re just saying it makes sense.

This may seem pretty whacky, but fans have made even weirder stipulations because of the long break between chapters before. Hang in there, One Piece fans; a new chapter will be with us soon!
