The studio that started as a small production company has evolved extensively over the years. So, Crunchyroll partnered with DeltaRocket to create the four-partseries to shed some light on the achievements of the studio’s highly talented team’s.

Crunchyroll’s exclusive docuseries is titled Bones 25: Dreaming Forward

Bones 25: Dreaming Forward is a four-part docuseries that showcases the history of Studio BONES. The first 24-minute premiere episode of the documentary has already arrived on Crunchyroll on February 13, 2024. Surprisingly, the arrival of the episode coincided with Metallic Rouge’s sixth episode’s release. For the unacquainted, Metallic Rouge is the latest original anime series from Studio BONES that premiered on the streaming giant on January 10.

The four episodes of Bones 25: Dreaming Forward are titled “The History of Bones, Style and Originality, Successful Adaptation, and Metallic Rouge: The Future of Bones.” The intriguing project sees the involvement of some of the significant personalities from the production house. These include the president of Studio BONES and the creators of several celebrated titles like Mob Psycho 100 and Bungou Stray Dogs.

According to the Studio BONES president, Masahiko Minami: “We wanted to build a place where we could find new forms of expression, new genres, and new themes through creation. Looking back, it was with great joy and gratitude that I rediscovered the works we have been creating with our wonderful friends.”

The docuseries will reveal how the studio managed to create masterpieces like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and My Hero Academia. While the latter has always seen the hype for its intense battles, the former has set such a benchmark that no other series can dethrone it from sitting at the top of MyAnimeList. Besides these, Crunchyroll has numerous projects from Studio BONES, and we hope to see it adding the forthcoming creations of the highly acclaimed studio as well.
