Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes took to live streaming platform Twitch, where he expressed how he wants his midfield counterpart Joelinton to sign a new contract amid uncertainty about his future at the club.

Having already dealt with an injury nightmare, Newcastle United were hit with another massive blow during their third-round FA Cup visit to the Stadium of Light to take on rivals Sunderland in early January.

Brazillian midfielder Joelinton was absent for the second half of the match, which was later revealed to be due to a thigh injury and could miss the rest of the Premier League season.

But, the 27-year-old’s future at Newcastle remains unclear, failing to agree on financial terms in a new contract with the club.

Newcastle United is edging closer to agreeing to a new contract with the midfielder, which would see him become one of the club’s top earners on more than £180k per week, according to the Telegraph.

Joelinton’s future with Eddie Howe’s side is still up in the air. However, fellow Brazillian baller Bruno Guimaraes “hopes” for the midfielder to stay on Tyneside.

In a March 4 Twitch stream alongside West Ham star Lucas Paqueta, Bruno discussed Joelinton’s contract situation, where he explained he hopes the midfielder can agree on a new deal with the Magpies.

“I hope, I hope Joe will sign. I hope so,” he said.

Not only that, in the same live stream Guimaraes entertained Newcastle fans by signing “Geordies” to the tune of Hey Jude by the Beatles.

Having already undergone surgery on his thigh, fans could see Joelinton back in the famous black and white later in the Premier League season. However, only time will tell.
