Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s truly bizarre NPC conversation leaves players scratching their head

One Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 player who stopped to listen to conversations on the street has found a hilariously bizarre one that you have to hear.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has some of the best movement and traversal ever put to disk. Most of the time, you’re going to be swinging through New York at lightning speed. Even without fast travel, you can cover the whole city in a matter of minutes.

However, even though you might be swinging past, that doesn’t mean that Insomniac hasn’t put detail into what’s below. If you stop for a while to listen though, you may be surprised at what you hear.

That’s especially true for a conversation players are finding in the game that is truly bizarre, albeit also very funny.

This conversation in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 goes places

In a TikTok posted by DetroitVillain, it shows Spider-Man eavesdropping on a conversation between two nannies – though one has apparently lied about their credentials to get a job.

What follows is a bizarre, rambling conversation about baby care and the dos and don’ts. It might make you question the safety of the baby as the newer babysitter admits to having never held a baby. That, and she keeps getting petroleum jelly mixed up with gasoline.

Voice actress Krizia Bajos responded to the TikTok, seemingly claiming ownership of the conversation. She said: “This is my voice. ISTG. and it’s all improvised. I love that you recorded this!”.

It’s not too surprising to learn this was improvised, but that doesn’t stop this from being genuinely hilarious. This is a fun glimpse into the process of these NPC conversations being recorded. It does make you wonder what other strange things you might hear if you drop down at street level from time to time.
