Pokemon Go player blessed by “RNG gods” after years of Research

It’s one thing in Pokemon to head out and attempt to complete that neverending task, the infamous “Gotta Catch ‘Em All” that the series is known for. But, if you’re at all interested in competitive battling, then trying to find rare Pokemon with good stats is a different kind of challenge.
Pokemon Go has a dedicated battling scene, but with catching and trading limited in ways that the mainline games aren’t, it means finding a Pokemon with good stats is all the more important. There’s no mints or bottle caps here, folks.
So, one Pokemon Go player is counting themselves lucky after finally completing a Research Task years in the making, as their reward was just about as good as it could be.
Lucky Pokemon Go player bags perfect Mew from Research Task
A Pokemon Go player called u/jasdanu_36 has shared a post on Reddit, proudly displaying a very lucky catch, as they managed to snag a Mew with perfect stats from a Research Task after years of trying.
They share comments alongside the post saying, “THE RNG GODS HAVE BLESSED ME!”
Then, they explain further, adding, “Posted last night about finally being able to evolve Magikarp to finish the “A Mythical Discovery” Research. Well, I just now finished it and got rewarded with a Perfect Mew. Can’t believe it. All those years of the Research sitting there and it ends with a 4*”.
Other players are sharing their amazement, and jealousy, in the comments, with one person saying “RNGesus, I see what you’ve done for other people and I want that for me.”
Another player uses the opportunity to show off their own catch, replying by saying “Not to brag but I have a lucky shundo, purified mewtwo”.
Meanwhile, one player has shared that they managed the same achievement, saying “I got a hundred mew from that too, I use it in my great league team to cover my weak spots lol”.
The person behind the original post replies, saying “I never expected to get a good one. With the Dragon Event going on, I’ve gotten nothing but trash IV’s across the board. So seeing the 4* was a pleasant surprise.”
Finally, another player encourages them to take things to the next level, adding “Bro that’s one you gotta max out and use in master league.”
Whether they keep this perfect Mew below 1500 CP for the Great League or train it up to battle the very best over in the Ultra League, this little Mew is sure to be a hit for Pokemon Go Battle Day 2024.
