Blizzard has announced an Anniversary in-game event for Overwatch.

Overwatch is coming up on its two-year anniversary, and Blizzard is celebrating with an in-game event that will feature a massive amount of content.

Taking place from May 22nd to June 11th, the Anniversary event will not only add brand-new content, but also bring back content from past events.

As usual for in-game events, a whole host of new cosmetics is in store, including eight new legendary skins, three new epic skins, three new dance emotes, and thirty-six other new items. In addition, cosmetics from past events will also be made available again.

These items will all be available in Anniversary lootboxes. Players who log in during the event will also receive one Legendary lootbox, which is guaranteed to contain a legendary skin that the player doesn’t already own. Players will also be gifted another Legendary lootbox if they buy a bundle of 50 lootboxes.

The event will also introduce a new Deathmatch map, Petra, and add a ranked competitive mode for Deathmatch. Little more is currently known about the new map than its name, however.

Finally, all previous event brawls will be made available, including the Retribution mission that was included in the recent Overwatch Archives event. These will rotate daily in the Arcade.
