Jamie Carragher ‘rattled’ as he urges Arsenal star Martin Odegaard to ‘get down the tunnel’
Sky SportsSky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has been labelled ‘rattled’ by Arsenal fans after his in studio reaction to Liverpool’s 3-1 loss at the Emirates Stadium.
Two uncharacteristic errors from Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson gifted second half Arsenal goals to Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard following a first half goal from Bukayo Saka and a Gabriel own goal for Liverpool.
Arsenal’s win moved them within two points of Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table and the result has blown the title race wide open.
‘Rattled’ Carragher
At full-time, the Sky Sports cameras panned to Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, who was taking celebratory photos of the Gunners’ club photographer in front of the Arsenal fans.
As Odegaard had fun with the camera, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher was less than impressed in the Sky Sports studio and hit out at the Norway international.
“Just get down the tunnel,” Carragher fumed. “You’ve won a game, it is three points. They have been brilliant, they are back in the title race, get down the tunnel. I am serious, honestly.”
Arsenal fans were quick to respond to Carragher’s reaction on social media and labelled the Liverpool legend as ‘rattled’.
One fan tweeted: “Carragher rattled hahahaha,” while another said: “Carragher crying over Odegaard taking a picture with the photographer has killed me.”
Reigning champions Man City will look to move level on points with Arsenal when they take on Brentford on Monday, as the Premier League title race continues to heat up.
