Small Overwatch streamer has amazing reaction to $50 donation

A small Twitch streamer, with just 1,168 followers, had an incredible reaction to receiving a $50 donation from a viewer while live.

Somjuu, who has been streaming Activision Blizzard’s Overwatch for the last couple of months, refers to himself as “#1 Doomfist NA” in many of his stream titles, implying that he’s the best Doomfist player in North America.

However, during a stream on Wednesday, October 23, somjuu was actually playing as Wrecking Ball when he was hit by a donation that he was absolutely ecstatic with.

As the end of the round was approaching, somjuu received a $50 donation, that left him incapable of playing out the rest of the round.

Although this kind of donation is an everyday occurrence for many big streamers, for an up and coming channel it’s a massive endorsement of their content.

“Oh my god, there’s no way,” he said immediately, clearly excited and in disbelief. “There’s actually no way! Bro… No way! Dude… Thank you!”

The end of the round meant somjuu could focus a bit more on the donation he had just received, but it didn’t really change much, with the streamer still in disbelief.

“$50 bro… there’s no f***ing way bro!” he said, putting his head in his arms and looking sheepishly up at the screen, perhaps to checking to see it had really happened. He promptly made the donator a mod in the stream, and agreed he could use it to get emotes to use in chat.

After pinching and slapping himself in the face, somjuu confirmed to himself that the donation was indeed still there, and did some push-ups to burn off the adrenaline.

When you see the amounts of money some streamers make from their broadcasts, it’s refreshing to see someone up and coming get a decent donation and be so grateful for it. Not every streamer is on the level of Ninja or Tfue, and somjuu is a perfect reminder of where these people started.
