Elmo traumatized after checking in with the internet

Sesame Street’s Elmo has been truly traumatized after simply asking the internet how everybody is doing, getting depressing responses they would’ve never imagined.

Life can be a pretty tough deal at times. You’ve got to pay bills, work a job, maintain your hobbies, and keep up with your friends all in the small periods of time you have free.

This is the complete opposite of the life that the friendly faces of Sesame Street lead, who are often learning, relaxing, and messing around with the free time they have.

Of course the most iconic of all Sesame Street characters, Elmo, cares about his friends and the people around him, so they took the time to ask all the lovely citizens of the internet how they are doing as 2024 rolls on. The responses were traumatizing, to say the least.

Elmo understands human sadness after checking replies to tweet

“Elmo is just checking in! How is everybody doing?” the furry red monster asked.

Droves of internet users replied to Elmo, giving them a true taste of what it’s like to be an adult in the year 2024.

“Elmo we are tired” one user sighed.

“Every morning, I cannot wait to go back to sleep. Every Monday, I cannot wait for Friday to come. Every single day and every single week for life.” another user depressingly shared.

Others expressed their sadness at leaving Sesame Street and having to enter the real workforce.

“It’s been a tough time since we left the street and entered the workforce, Elmo.”

Many felt pity for Elmo, as they’d have to read through the slog of depressing comments, truly kicking open a door that was never meant to be open.

The red muppet has not yet responded to their tweet, presumably because of how traumatizing some of these responses were.
