MW3 players are done with the game’s camo challenges, viewing them as a “detriment” to the overall experience.

MW3 may have changed up a few things from last year’s entry, but it did carry over a few systems that were present in MW2, such as camo challenges.

These challenges offer specific objectives that players have to complete in order to unlock specific camos for that gun.

However, this system is not beloved across the community, and many fans are now expressing their frustrations with it, deriding it as a “detriment” to the game.

MW3 players are fed up with the camo challenges in the game

In a post on the game’s subreddit, a player made their feelings known about the camo challenges, titling the post: “Camo challenges are a Detriment to the Game.”

They went on to give more insight into their thoughts, writing, “I love a good grind, something to works towards as I play. But the issue is that the challenges promote a crappy style of play. Playing while mounted, prone, sliding, point black, it’s like the game is wanting us to camp and not go for the objective.”

The top response to the post is in agreement, saying, “Like having a camo unlock by playing objectives? I’d like that.”

The general sense among the players in agreement with the poster are that the challenges cause players to lose focus of playing the objective and just try for kills instead.

However, not everyone thought that the camo challenges were hampering the experience, with one user saying: “I personally feel that the camo grind is actually trying to teach you how to play the game with certain weapons.”

Another player was much more short with the critics: “It promotes camping? The opposite lol. Sliding, point blank, killing someone while affected by tactical, etc. The only thing they ‘promote’ is for the player to push the enemy. You couldn’t be more wrong about camping lol.”

When the new camo system released with last year’s MW2, it was met with about the same response. Many felt that the simplified system made the game much more enjoyable and less grindy, while others didn’t appreciate the impact it had on players in matches.

MW3 doesn’t seem to be changing this system anytime soon, and neither will players’ opinions about it.
